• Train trips

I always enjoy traveling by train, for many reasons. Today I took the train from Paris to Rennes, and it got me thinking about why I love it so much. 

J'ai toujours adoré les voyages en train, pour plusieurs raison. Aujourd'hui j'ai pris le train de Paris à Rennes, et ça m'a fait réfléchir sur ces raisons pour lesquelles j'aime tant ça.

First because it is a transitionning moment, between two places, with the feeling of going on an adventure (even on small train trips I feel like that).

D'abord parce que c'est un moment de transition, entre deux endroits, avec cette impression de partir à l'aventure (même pour les plus petits trajets j'ai cette impression).

Then, through the window, you can see the landscapes, from cities to the countrside, and very often we can spot, when we have our eyes wide open, a beautiful scene. I got the idea for this article a few seconds ago when I saw a horse drinking water from a river, near a beautiful tree, in a beautiful green landscape. A one second long scene, that was surreal. 

Ensuite, par la fenêtre, on peut voir le paysage, des villes à la campagne. Et souvent on peut voir, quand on a les yeux bien ouverts, de superbes scènes. J'ai eu l'idée de cet article il y a quelques secondes quand j'ai vu par la fenêtre un cheval boire l'eau au bord d'une rivière, près d'un bel arbre, dans un paysage verdoyant. Une scène d'une seconde, c'était surréaliste.

And the last reason, it is a moment when you can do something different. You are allowed to stop working, and just look at the window, or read a good book, knit, listen to music, anything we usually feel we don't have time to do. It is a rare time when we slow down, while moving. Love the feeling :)

Et pour terminer, le voyage en train c'est un moment où on peut faire des choses différentes. On a le droit de s'arrêter de travailler et juste regarder par la fenêtre, ou lire un bon livre, tricoter, écouter de la musique, ou autre chose que l'on peut s'interdire de faire au quotidien par manque de temps. C'est un rare moment où on peut ralentir, tout en bougeant. Belle sensation :)
